Description
Air purifier SOEHNLE AirFresh CLEAN 300 - the air purifier
for your home!
Dust, pollen, bacteria, gases - we can neither see nor smell
them, but breathe them in every day. Clean air is of vital importance for our
health - and especially for allergy sufferers. The Soehnle Airfresh Clean 300
effectively removes 99.2% of all allergens and pollutants down to a size of 3
µm from the air. The three-layer filter system consisting of pre-filter, EPA
and activated carbon filter reliably removes numerous particles (house dust,
pollen, bacteria, house dust mites, fine dust, viruses) and unpleasant odors
and gases from the air. A UV light, which can be switched on, also destroys the
remaining germs in the filtered air. After the cleaning process, the clean air
is blown back into the room - so quietly that this device can also be set up in
the bedroom. The Airfresh Clean 300 draws in up to 170 cubic meters of air per
hour. This means that the air in a 30 m² room is cleaned more than five times
per hour. Three power levels and a timer function with a 2-, 4- and 8-hour
preselection allow you to individually adjust the duration and intensity of the
air cleaning. In night mode, the air purifier works without lighting to ensure
undisturbed sleep. A filter change indicator signals when a filter change is
required. The replaceable, high-quality pre,- EPA and activated carbon filter
captures up to 99.2% of pollen, dust, bacteria, viruses and ultra-fine
particles down to 0.3 µm from the air. It can even filter out unpleasant odors
and gases from your air. To maintain the high cleaning performance, the filter
level indicator signals after approx. 4,320 hours of operation that the filter
should be replaced. The filter can be removed and replaced quickly and easily.
Ideal for allergy sufferers.
What does EPA mean?
The abbreviation EPA stands for Efficient Particulate Air
(filter). Translated, it means "Efficient Particulate Air Filter". To
receive an EPA label, HEPA filters, such as those used in air purifiers, must
achieve a certain, standardized degree of separation. Above the EPA HEPA filter
class are HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air filter) and ULPA (Ultra Low
Penetration Air filter). The latter class has so far only been used in a few
high-tech commercial applications.
What is the significance of the EPA label for the consumer?
Devices bearing the EPA label have one or more HEPA filters that filter particles between 0.1 and 0.3 micrometers in size from the air with a separation efficiency of at least 85%. Consumers can thus get an idea of the effectiveness of the device they want and compare it with other devices.
A more precise classification can be achieved through European standardization according to filter classes (see section Filter classes). An EPA filter with an E12 filter class, for example, has a filtration efficiency of 99.5%, whereas an EPA filter with an E10 filter class has a filtration efficiency of only 85%.
