Dräger Alcotest 4000 - reliable and fast breath alcohol tester from Dräger!

 Whether after a business meal, at a party or the morning after. When determining the alcohol or residual alcohol level, you always get precise results thanks to the Dräger sensor. The measurement function is easily operated via the backlit function button. Optional signal tones provide additional orientation. The device is then ready for use in seconds, and the breath test can be performed immediately. Navigation in the menu is via the same key. The Alcotest® 4000 can be used in a very wide temperature range from -5 °C to +50 °C. We would also like to emphasize that the Alcotest® 4000 is manufactured in Germany. The differences to the predecessor model Dräger Alcotest® 3820 are, apart from a few optical changes, mainly in the measured value memory, which can now store the last 400 measurement results.

A proven electrochemical Dräger alcohol sensor is used for the measurement. Operation is very simple and is controlled by a central button on the device. In addition to the display indications, the Alcotest® 4000 emits acoustic messages (e.g. during breath sampling). The device analyzes the breath sample quite quickly (after approx. 3 s at room temperature or after approx. 10 s at high alcohol levels <1 per mille).

All displays such as device status, measured values, firmware/software or error messages appear in plain text on the display in German. Acoustic signals (e.g. during the measurement sample) supplement the display .

The operation runs centrally via a button. If you press this button briefly, the device switches on and you are immediately in standby mode, i.e. the Alcotest® 4000 is ready and waiting for the test sample. After blowing in (length is indicated by a continuous tone during blowing in), the measured value in ‰ per mille (blood alcohol concentration) is output immediately after a short delay.

Calibration:
The instrument is factory-calibrated when deliverd. If the calibration daste is longer ago than 12 month, the instrument should be calibrated. The sensitivity drift is typically 0,4% of the measured value per month.
