Description
Geiger counter GQ GMC 500 Plus
The GQ GMC-500 Plus is a small, compact Geiger counter that
has two counting tubes (Geiger tubes) for different radiation intensities. This
allows both acoustic and visual signals to be output for the detected
radiation. The LCD display shows radiation in both microsieverts and
milliroentgens. Furthermore, the digital display shows in CPM (counts per
minute - counting events when an ionizing particle triggers a signal) and the conversion
of these counting events into a dose (rate) in µSv/h. The memory can be read
out via PC software (USB port) with optional software (download from
manufacturer). A possibly required USB driver is also available here. The
electronics are powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, which can be charged
via USB or an external power supply. In addition, the device can also be
operated permanently on the power supply.
